Windsor
Because Imperial town of the Her Majesty
Queen, Windsor were under very clear and fine weather, it is impossible for
Summilux to use in full aperture. Wonderful, clear images are coming in the
closed aperture which are even better than those of a modern designed lens. The
first photo is an art object at the hotel lobby which I could take in full
aperture, Mmm, after all it is nothing to say about the taste of blur of
peripheral area.

Tokyo Disney Sea
I think the price of Leica lens became to
soar recently, and the tendency is strong for Noctilux and Summilux 35mm
(specially early type). I also think that it is the lenses with which we can
really enjoy the description of the three-dimensional impression when I take
photos remarkably under the indoor mixture light in full aperture. I this time felt
the "Taste of the lens" with such as trembling feeling to the photos,
which for example, are in the backside bokeh of portrait photos and in the
taste of blur in the highlight of flower photos which I took in Disney Sea after
a long time absence. The way of coming out of blurs is strongest in the highlight
by backlight. Because the blur does not come out so much in center part, and
rather stronger in peripheral areas, I see the aberration is stronger in
peripheral than center. When I take photos of the plate on the wall or the
statues, I understand the three dimensional feeling is coming strong because of
the contrast of sharp description in center and bokeh / blur in the pheripheral
areas. Regarding the time zone, I think it is suitable and best at evening
started a little dim and glooming for this Summilux 35mmf1.4. When I take photo
of a person, the delicate blur is appearing on the expression of the face and
the gentle impression increase then. It is a difficult area for compact digital
cameras. This can be said it is the real thrill of the Leica and the lens hobby.

Tokyo

I strolled in Tokyo with Summilux 35mm after an interval of over a half
year. After all, as for this lens, photos taken between evening and night
seems to show the true value than those during the day time. I think the
familiar blur and peripheral flows looks a little more "Elegant"
of this lens. I do not decide myself the standard of being ‘bokeh lens’,
I think this lens is rather gentle among lenses on this HP.

The aperture is more closed in these
photos.(around f8). I noticed that I have not been taking photos in full aperture
which give the characteristic of this lens. It seems that the opportunity is
taken by other Oldlens(es), such as Hugo Meyer, when fitting to the bokeh and
blur lenses.

Palace
The azalea of Imperial Palace East Garden seems not to be well known to
public, but because there are few people visiting, it is a quite recommendable
place. Since the density of flowers are too deep, if I look at them for
a while, I see the complementary color. Because photos were taken with
closed aperture, it shows a very clear description not likely for this
lens.

Omote-sando Hills
I went there on the very 1st day
of opening. People, people, people. There was a long queue even from the exit
of subway station of Omote-sando. It is the first time that I was able to take such
clear image with this lens. The outside photos are taken at almost f4.0. While
I walk around slowly on both sides slope, I can go through the all the building
of Omote-sando Hills. I did not notice to be able to shop such effectively if
there were shops at only the one side of the passage. This is Mr. Ando's design
truly. Because the indoor photos were taken at f1.4 opening, the familiar blur is
comeing out.

Hondoji temple
|
Although the ‘Hondoji” temple in Matsudo in Chiba Prefecture is famous
for a hydrangea, what I was surprised at when I visited was the wonderfulness
of the Japanese iris in the pond. When I close the diaphragm from f4 to
5.6, photos are coming out very sharp. My preference is the one at full
aperture and blur is coming out.
